List of branches of alternative medicine -- Hold hands and don't get lost! This is the intermission cartoon section. As my anatomy instructor told me, "there are four ways to massage, find the muscle and rub, north, south, east, west." All these modalities have deep meanings, spiritual, and muscle relief, for many people and not for many others. Each works for enough people to make a career out of the belief. If you find one that sings to you and stops your pain, I say go for it!
Symtoms & Diseases:
Migraine:
Migraine -- "Muscle tenderness has been shown to be present in 100% of migraine attacks, making muscle tenderness the single most common finding in migraine."
Prevention of migraines -- My opinion, treating the symptoms of a headache does not solve the cause of the headache. A migraine that starts in the muscles in the back of the head and neck, then crawls over the top fo your head and around your eye, isn't going away until the muscles that start the reaction are relaxed and trained to stay that way. But being "gluten free" seems harmless and shouldn't make things worse.
Migraine surgery -- Removal of muscles, or an hour a week for a couple of sessions, listening to music while I work? You decide.
-----------------------------------
Trigeminal neuralgia -- The Suicide Disease. I suffered TN for a year and five months, I have been symptom free for 60 days as of 1/20/12. Muscles in my head and neck referred pain that activated my Trigeminal nerve. I found them, released them, and have my life back to prove it! Don't stop at the edge of the vision, or version, called standard health care, a few weeks of music and muscle relaxation could save your sanity, family, and maybe your life. It did mine.

Naughty Bits:
All these conditions in *some* people have been caused by trigger points. Personally, I would check for muscle problems before I opted for the knife. I am not allowed, by state law, (nor do I wish to) manipulate internal muscles of the body. If you need help with these problems contact me through my CONTACT INFORMATION page, let me know your problem and what city you are in, and I will send you a referral for a doctor or therapist in your area who handles these special cases...and sorry for your troubles, you are not alone.
